Approach and Goals

The program uses a multi-disciplinary approach to provide traditionally underserved students with first-hand experience using innovative technology (i.e., video games and digital media), with the goal of increasing their motivation, interest, and exposure to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) content and careers.

The goals of the program will be accomplished by:

  1. designing and developing STEM-focused video games
  2. identifying effective pathways and practices required for participation and persistence in science and technology disciplines and careers by becoming familiar with requirements and resources.

Location

The program is held on Saturdays at the Arlington campus of George Mason University in Founders Hall.
